General duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
  • Displaying consistent attention to safety in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verifying instructions and routes.
  • Maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Driving trucks to weigh stations to document weights and to comply with state regulations.
  • Transports non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures.
  • Handling various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Performing industrial work and biohazard cleanups.
  • Staging, profiling, and processing for disposal hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Assist in the removal of soil, debris and other materials, and cleaning up spill sites.
  • Operate and clean equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Description:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will manage and develop existing accounts while driving new business for Specialized Waste Systems, Inc. The BDM reports to the facility General Manager with dotted line reporting to the Region Business Development Manager.  Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain relationships with current customers while prospecting new customers, pursue leads and negotiate to close
  • Understand target markets, including industry, business segments, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract new customers
  • Addresses & remediates customer care matters w/ a sense of urgency
  • Meet or exceed Business Development Metrics and report results in companies CRM database with accurate, up to date customer and activity details
  • Executes Masters Services Agreement with new accounts
    Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, seminars and industry committee meetings
  • Manages contract and bid projects through our RFP process
  • Works on-site at customer locations with Operations Team as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years sales experience with existing industry and customer contacts a plus
  • Outstanding Customer Care Skill-set
  • Strong knowledge of the Environmental and Industrial services industry to include waste management, transportation services, industrial cleaning, In-Plant and ER Services
  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and achieving objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a premium on performance
  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet
  • Strong work ethic supported by the highest standard of Integrity
  • Experience in managing Strategic Accounts

Description:

The Waste Services Line of Business (LOB) Manager is an Industrial Waste Subject Matter Expert that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The Waste Services LOB Manager will lead TAS’ efforts in training, technical/systems expertise, vendor management, pricing, marketing, logistics, EH&S, and process improvements that are related to the company’s industrial waste services.  Responsibilities include:

  • Business Management: P&L responsibility, manages all procedural aspects related to service delivery, waste operations, sales & marketing, proposals, and customer care
  • Vendor Management: Negotiates terms, rates, performance standards, and proactively manages risks
  • Compliance: Partner with EH&S and Operations to train on relevant Federal and State regulations
  • Resource Management: Owns all ERP elements related to the Waste LOB and partners with other departments to maximize performance for all stakeholders

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in relevant field
  • 7+ years’ experience in Industrial Waste or Environmental Services
  • Profit and Loss Responsibility
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Chemistry
  • General Management and/or Sales Leadership Experience
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience

Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the bids and proposal processes and ensuring projects are completed according to customer and Scope of Work specifications. Duties

include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Estimate projects and prepare proposals
  • Complete site walks and schedule projects
  • Work directly with operations staff and sales staff to develop scope of work
  • Day to day management of larger projects
  • Display knowledge of company products and services
  • Follow Scope of Work and ensure project personnel and equipment and adequately scheduled
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers
  • Take calls directly from customers (inside sales)
  • Work with accounting staff to ensure invoices are accurate
  • Work directly with customers to resolve project pricing and scheduling issues
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of the environmental and industrial services industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Must be self-motivated, learn new things quickly, and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
